Hi Friends! Today is Try it Tuesday and Today's product I'm sharing with you is my go to Sugar! I'm talking about Erythritol Sugar Alternative!

Get your Erythritol here!

Because my Daughter is T1 Diabetic, we've changed a lot of the products we use around the house. Since we all love sugar sweets, this was the biggest change in our pantry.

We've been using this product since January of this year and pretty much love it!

I use in coffee, tea, almond flour waffles and in all my baking and it works great!

After doing a bit of research I found even more reasons to love this stuff! Read below....

What is Erythritol Sugar?

Erythritol is a sugar substitute that looks, tastes, and functions similarly to table sugar. It has about 70% less of the calories of sucrose. (Yeah!)

Erythritol is a sugar substitute that is natural, calorie free, and has a low glycemic index. It can be found in many different types of food and beverages, including chips, cookies, ice cream, yogurt, and ketchup.

Are there Benefits to using Erythritol Sugar?

Yes, Erythritol looks, feels and tastes like regular sugar. The granules are crystal white and texture is incredibly similar. This makes it much more appealing to use instead of the powdery sugar substitutes.

The main benefit of Erythritol is that it does not have the bitter aftertaste that many other sugar substitutes have. This makes it a much more appealing choice for people who are looking to reduce their sugar intake but still want the taste of sweet foods and beverages.

Erythritol can reduce tooth decay by up to 80%. The number one reason for tooth decay is bacteria sticking to the surface of teeth because of sugars in food particles. Therefore when you choose foods with Erythritol instead of other sugars aids in your oral health care.

If you're looking for a healthy alternative, Erythritol can be used as a healthy sugar substitute for people with diabetes or who are trying to lose weight.

How to use Erythritol in Baking:

Erythritol is a sugar alcohol. It can be found in most grocery stores in the baking aisle next to the other sugars, or with the diet foods. It is derived from NON-GMO corn, and has almost no calories or glycemic index.

When using it for baking, it is important to remember that it is different form regular sugar in baking - it is less concentrated, so you need to to add a bit more to the quantity you use.

Recipes that call for 1 cup of sugar will require ¼ cup more of Erythritol when replacing it.

I love to use in in baking my cookies, cakes and pies, knowing it is a better sugar alternative for my daughter and our Family in general.

If you love sweets in your life, this sugar is a healthy alternative to using regular table sugar!

You have to try it!

That's it for today! Friends, have an Amazing Tuesday!

See you tomorrow!
